Whew! What a weekend! I traveled over to Kansas City to participate in the Coders 4 Charities charity event. I was invited by my good friends Jeff Julian, John Alexander, and Doug Butscher to be both a sponsor and a volunteer. As always, they were very gracious hosts and provided the participants with everything they needed to keep the coding flames burning. And burn they did.
We had 5 charities to support and 25 volunteers dedicated their entire weekend and development skills to help the charities improve their web sites. The volunteers were divided evenly up into teams with complimentary skill sets. Each charity brought their own unique requirements - from reporting needs to functional changes to graphical overhauls.
